June 10, 2011 I found this term particularly hard to Google for, even knowing pretty much exactly what it meant. So, I will blog it, and thus add it to my external brain. A “Bottle Episode” is an episode in an episodic television series that is intended to save money, so that that money may be used for more expensive season openers or closers. Money is saved by: Using existing sets, not building anything new Using very few actors, likely just main characters Are heavy on dialog rather than action (or anything else) A cliche version of the plot of a bottle episode would be where there is a tornado outside and the characters all have to sit in a dark gymnasium and tell stories.

My birthday is just a few weeks away and I am doing all of my prepping for a celebratory trip I have planned ahead of time. I’m a frequent traveler, so I keep a stockpile of my everyday products in TSA-friendly sizes to pack my toiletry bag (full of sunscreen, face and body wash, toothpaste, deodorant, and moisturizer) with sample or travel sizes. Five years ago, when restocking my mini must-haves, I came across the Gillette Venus Mini Razor, a game-changer for hair removal that takes up way less space in my toiletry bag.

After years of neutrals dominating fashion, things took a turn for the more extreme in 2023 when bold shades became the standard. Between Valentino and Barbie, hot pink was hard to escape, while highlighter yellow became fall’s most unexpected ‘It’ color. And while some color trends came and went, one was and still is one of the year’s hottest hues. Kate Middleton and Sophie Turner kicked off the year in all-red ensembles, which were almost immediately followed by cherry-inspired looks from Jennifer Lopez, Eva Longoria, Rihanna, and Hailey Bieber.

Taylor Sheridan has revealed he has been left "disappointed" by Kevin Costner's decision to leave the hit series Yellowstone. Kevin stars as John Dutton, and has been the lead on the show since it launched on Paramount in 2018; he won a Golden Globe for the role in 2023. Kevin's decision to leave "doesn’t alter" the conclusion of the character but it will shorten his planned storyline, says Taylor, revealing his plan was always to write off the character of John before the final anyway.
